The first to punch their ticket to Regional was Isaac Mendiola in the Triple Jump with a personal best of 41’5 1/2″ to take 3rd place. Next to do so was John Lopez in the Shot Put with a personal best of 44’3″ for a 4th place finish. Dalton Hobbs followed shortly there after with a 2nd place finish clearing 6’1″ in the High Jump. The Eagle Pole Vaulters both punched their tickets taking 1st and 2nd in the vault. Dillon Stobbs was the District Champion with a vault of 13′ and Brandon Cessna was the runner up with a vault of 12’9″. These young men will travel to Kingsville next Thursday to compete for the chance of a trip to State on the line. It’s been a long season but a good season and these young men definitely saved their best efforts for when it mattered the most. Congratulations and good luck fellas.
