The Eagles hosted the Gonzales Apaches on Monday and came away with two solid victories. This was the second time the Eagles have faced Gonzales so they were eager to see how much improvement there was from the first time facing them till now. The B team won 32-6 which was the highest amount of points the B team scored all year. Felipe Martinez led the Eagles with 10 points while Timothy Long had 8 points. The defense created lots of steals which resulted in easy baskets. The A team was on a mission this game as the last time they played Gonzales, the game went into overtime. While they won the overtime game, the team was eager to showcase just how much they have improved since the year started. There would be no need for overtime as the Eagles won 57-22. Also the most points the Eagles had scored all year. Leading scorer was Demetrius Jimenez with 21 points. Jimenez was not the only one scoring, as a total of ten Eagles scored. It was a total TEAM game as they shared the ball well and created turnovers left and right. The Eagles continue to improve every single day and look to come away with a tournament championship this weekend in Devine.
