The Eagles traveled to Navarro for the first game back from break and came away with one win and one loss. The B team lost a close game 15-8. Timothy Long, Ben Casarez, Zyon Ortiz, and Felipe Martinez each had 2 points. The Eagles struggled putting the ball in the basket the entire game but played well enough on defense to keep it close. The A team came away with a big victory with the score of 42-25. The Eagles played great defense the entire game and for the first time all year looked like a complete basketball team. Demetrius Jimenez led all scorers with 17 points while Jayden Guerrero added in 11 points with huge back to back three pointers to spark a second half run. Coming out in the second half shooting the ball well and creating turnovers was enough for Navarro to throw in the towel early, as they looked defeated at the start of the 4th. The Eagles hope to keep the momentum going as the host the Gonzales Apaches on Monday.
