Pleasanton Boys Varsity Track team is firing on all cylinders. We traveled to Cotulla, TX to compete this week and we scored a total of 216 team points. Ashon Thompson ran an impressive 10.31 in the 100 m dash to take 1st place. Est’van Jackson took second in the 200 m with a time of 23.84. Jayden Palacios ran the 800 m race with a smooth time of 2:02.05 easily taking first place. Justin Veale ran both the 110m and 300m and won both with times of 17.09 and 43.99. Rudy Franco, Jessiejohn Guel, Christopher Zapata, And Ashon Thompson took the 4x100m relay with a time of 46.72. The 4×200 m Relay won the race and broke a school record with a time of 1:33.02. The team Este’van Jackson, Juan Lopez, Jayden Palacios, and Ashon Thompson. The 4×400 m relay also won with a time of 3:37.03 the team was Avaree Cantu, Juan Lopez, Este’van Jackson, And Jayden Palacios. Othe Highlights were were Este’van Jackson jumping 42′-7″ Juan Lopez jumping 41′-4″ in the triple jump. Preston Pilgrim took 1st and jumped an 11′-6″ Pole Vault. Peyton Eichman threw the discus 105′-2″ to win first place. Jackson and lopez also took 2nd and 3rd in the long jump with jumps of 19′-5″ and 18′-7″. Reagan Moore took second in the High Jump with a jump of 5′-2″. The Eagles will be competing at home after spring break.
