The Eagle golf team made history by being the first golf team in school history to win a regional golf championship and the first boys team to qualify for the state golf tournament. The team finished in 1st place at the Class 4A Region IV golf championship held at Colony Creek Golf Club in Victoria on Wednesday April 21st and Thursday April 22nd. The team also made school history by winning their 9th consecutive golf tournament of the year. They won all 7 of their regular season tournaments, the District 27AAAA Tournament and now the Regional Tournament.

After a first round team score of 321, the team of Travis Garcia, Matt Garcia, Reed Foster, Jake Casias and Brady Stevens shot a second day score of 329 for a two day total of 650. The Eagles finished ten strokes ahead of 2nd place Kingsville and 15 strokes ahead of 3rd place Boerne. Travis Garcia led the team in individual scoring shooting a two day total of 150 (75-75) and finished as the 2nd place medalist overall. Reed Foster shot 163 (82-81), Matt Garcia shot 168 (78-90), Jake Casias shot 173 (86-87) and Brady Stevens shot 186 (100-86).

The Eagles will next compete at the UIL State Golf Championship on May 17th and 18th at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle.
