The Pleasanton JH Cross Country teams competed in their first 2 mile race of the 2020 season. The cross country meet was held at Dilley High School this past Saturday. There were no team points and no team awards were given. Medals were awarded to the top 20 runners in each division. The JH Eagles did bring home plenty of individual medals for their great efforts.

7th GIRLS
The following girls would medal in the top 20. Leading the way would be Neela Martinez will a 2nd place finish and a time of 15:03.Evalynn Garza would be next with a time of 16:25. Shaylin Gutierrez would follow with a time of 16:32 then Priscilla Ramirez (17:54) and Shanna Hime received her medal with a time of 18:39. Olga Huizar ran a time of 22:23 and bringing the Eagles home was Siveah Garcia with a time of 22:40
The JH Cross Country will be in Devine this following Wednesday, September 30th.
7th BOYS
In the 7th Boys race, the Eagles only had three runners that competed this past Saturday. Micah Klein medaled and finished 4th overall with a time of 13:57. Next medalist was Isaiah Crus with a time of 18:06. Justin Villlarreal would be the final Eagle to cross the finish line with a time of 21:03.
The JH Cross Country will be in Devine this following Wednesday, September 30th.
8th BOYS
The 8th Boys ran well with several Eagles earning medals. The team was led by Frank Douglas (medalist) with a time of 13:24. Joseph Cuellar (medalist)was right behind Frank with a time of 13:29. Next came Zeke Garcia (medalist) with a time of 13:35. Following Zeke was Mason Little with a time of 15:11 and Neal Ramos was the final Eagles to cross the finish line with a time of 18:50

The JH Cross Country will be in Devine this following Wednesday, September 30th.

8th GIRLS
The 8th Girls Cross Country team had 7 of the 9 runners medaled at the Dilley meet. It was a race for first place between Sarah Scharmann and Farah Standley of the Eagles and it would be Sarah edging out Farah for the spot. Sarah ran a time of 14:31 and Farah would run a time of 14:33. Jauslyn Ramirez would medal with a time of 15:41, Vannessa Chapa medaled with a time of 15:52, Lillian Krause would be next with a time of 15:82, Chloe Nieschwitz followed with a time of 17:30, and Taliah Garcia with a time of 17:52. Rebecca Martinez ran a time of 18:34 and Emery Yardley would be the final Eagle runner to cross the finish line with a time of 18:34.

The JH Cross Country will be in Devine this following Wednesday, September 30th.
